REVIEW: L.A. Girl Matte Flat Velvet Lipsticks

Did you know that LA Girl got a new range of lipsticks? Nope? Yes? Well ladies and gents. 

Introducing their hottest new lip color - Matte Flat Velvet Lipstick. These 26 bold shades are rich in pigment and filled with moisture in a flat velvet finish. With added shea butter to hydrate lips and a soft, smooth application, your lips will feel as gorgeous as they look!

They have every color ranges to pinks, nudes, reds, berry, purples, blues, gray, black and coral lipstick shades. I like that they included some fun and unique lippy colors to try on, for if you are feeling a little makeupadventurer (if there's even a word). Haha

I got two of the new lipstick shades SNUGGLE and BLUE VALENTINE. It is creamy and I don't really think if it's velvety in texture (I mean how does velvet really feels like on the lips? Idk really haha), it's more of a creamy matte hydrating lipstick that is so smooth and will not tug or drag your lips when you directly apply it on. It doesn't look too matte or even dry flat looking matte like other lipsticks has, its just have a slight sheen to it but doesn't contain shimmer or glitter not even a full gloss. Very pigmented as you can tell by the picture below. The only thing is that it is not long lasting (well they don't claim to be long lasting anyway, so I guess it's okey 😉) but it last a pretty decent amount of time and it is easy to remove.

Snuggle is a very wearable everyday dark pinky brown nude shade, my MLBB lipstick (I've used it everyday since I got it). Blue valentine on the other hand is not suitable for everyday wear as you can see hence the name but, great for special occations, events or parties, even cosplaying (who doen't love cosplaying right?).

Wearing the blue valentine, seriously I can rock this lipstick color and wear it everyday and go out, but my mom won't even look at me while wearing this lipcolor. I look "bruha" in her opinion (bruha means a "witch") she's not impressed. Hahahaha

This is how snuggle looks like on me, see how wearable it is? I really like this color on me, my mom doesn't even notice that I wore lipstick everytime I'm using it. Haha I took this picture using a natural day light.

Over all I like the texture, the pigment and how it feels on the lips, and just a heads up it has a really sweet scent in it, sometimes you can actually smell it after the application but it wear off throughout the day. If you don't mind the scent at all, then I recommend you try the product and it's affordable too ($4), great finds for a good quality lipstick. And I'm thinking of getting the other colors too probably; raven (black), poetic (dark gray) and spicy (dark brown red).
